Cost-related medication restrictions may reduce the effectiveness of glucose-lowering medications among real- world patients with diabetes. The proposed research will generate new scientific knowledge on the feasibility of an educational outreach intervention to reduce cost-related restrictions and improve evidence-based medication use. This research can help patients with type 2 diabetes and their healthcare providers make better treatment decisions to improve health outcomes.
