Gellad's Take on Vaccines in Children

CP3 Director Dr. Walid Gellad recently discussed Covid-19 vaccines for children. Responding to experts' recommendation that children receive one vaccine shot instead of two, he told the New York Times, "Parents who are hesitant may appreciate the fact that the risk of side effects is actually much lower for one dose than it is for two doses.” He also spoke with NBC News about the risk of myocarditis from the Pfizer vaccine. “The study reinforces the bottom-line message, which is that most of these cases [of myocarditis] are mild,” he said.
