The coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated racial inequality in the United States, but a new study has shown that racial inequality can be just as deadly for Blacks as COVID-19. In an NPR report about the analysis, CP3 Faculty Affiliate Dr. Utibe Essien said, "I think it's important to ... appreciate that the pandemic didn't start something new, but that these disparities really, unfortunately, have been seen for decades, if not centuries."
