Access, Quality and Equity of Anticoagulants in Veterans with Atrial Fibrillation
PI: Utibe Essien, MD, MPH

This project will examine multilevel determinants of racial and ethnic disparities in anticoagulant therapy initiation for Veterans with AF and use the findings to empirically develop and test implementation strategies to reduce or eliminate disparities.

Developing a provider-facing intervention to address cost-related medication restrictions and improve medication use in patients with type 2 diabetes

This project will examine the feasibility of an educational outreach intervention to reduce cost-related restrictions and improve evidence-based medication use.

Impact of COVID-19 on Drug Shortages

This project will determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the drug supply chain and help policy makers better prepare for future disruptions.
