Health Affairs Paper Co-Authored by CP3 Faculty is NICHM Finalist

A paper co-authored by CP3 and Pitt School of Public Health faculty was a finalist in the 2022 NIHCM Awards in Journalism and Research.  The paper, "Medicaid Coverage ‘Cliff’ Increases Expenses And Decreases Care For Near-Poor Medicare Beneficiaries," describes results of an analysis showing near-poor Medicaid beneficiaries incurred an additional $2,288 in out-of-pocket spending over the course of two years.
