Dr. Katie Suda, a CP3 Faculty Affiliate, conducts research on opioid prescribing practices. Her recent paper describing excessive opioid prescribing by dentists was picked up by NPR and featured on its website. Dr. Suda's work also featured on Morning Edition and All Things Considered. "Dentists are the primary prescribers of opioids to adolescents and young adults, who are at high risk for opioid misuse," Dr. Suda noted.
